Collie Basketball Association has a long and proud history. As it enters a new chapter in its journey as a community sporting club, it continues to build on the narrative and storyline that brought it to where it is today and yet also have a keen eye on the future.

In September 2020, our new brand was revealed...the COLLIE COUGAR was back!

In line with its values of teamwork, inclusion and development, the Collie Basketball Association embarked on a co-design journey to develop a new brand for 2020 and beyond. 2020 = perfect vision, so what better time to get CBA members of all ages together to co-create a brand that pulled together our rich history, our values, and our 'why'.

The Cougars brand was a result of two community sessions and lots a passionate debate about who we are and how we want to present ourselves to the world. CBA engaged consultants Julie from HRE Consulting and Sarah from Gumfire to take CBA through the process to unpack, whiteboard sessions and throw all our ideas at them! And boy did they pull all this together  - the result was the return of the COLLIE COUGARS!

And so…. the Collie Cougars label was rediscovered for a new era in Collie Basketball. Our new brand screams #ColliePride. It talks to teamwork, giving a truly respectful nod to our past and gives out a huge roar to our future and to future generations of players and supporters.

It invites young players to get involved in a caring and friendly environment. As they grow in the sport and develop their skills, the Cougars brand progressively adopts elements that speak to the tough competitive nature of the sport at its highest level in the Collie Basketball Association.

We know who we are. We know what we are about. And we want you to know too, so that you too can join the team, join the pride and can be loud and proud of all that is Collie Cougars!
